I don't have any official stats. That's because there isn't a three month check up with the pediatrician. But our best guess is that Carter weighs about 15 pounds. That is a four pound gain from last month. Holy little piggy!
I can really tell that he's grown in the past month. And not just weight wise. His little personality is coming out. He is full of smiles and giggles all the time. He also pretty much sleeps through the night now. Or at least by my definition. He usually eats around 10 or 10:30pm and then sleeps until 3 or 4 am when he eats again. Then back to sleep until 6-ish, when it's time for me to get up and ready for work anyways. So for the most part, I get good sleep every night. And that's a good thing!

Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope every one has a wonderful day. I know we will, even though our holiday has been cut short. I can thank DH's boss for that! We thought that DH would have Thursday and Friday off. But nope, he's got to go to work on Friday. Our original plan was to drive 1.5 hours north to pick up his mom at the nursing home and then drive another 1.5 hours east, over the mountains, to go to his sister's house. Then we were going to spend the night and on Friday, take my MIL back to the nursing home and then come on home ourselves. But now.....we have to do all that driving in one day....with a 3 month old baby. Yay!
But, we will be eating good food. And we will have a good visit, however short it may be. Bring on the turkey!!

Sadness
I don't always ask for thoughts and prayers, but there is a family that needs them tonight.
Way back when I was a newly made fiancee, I spent a lot of time on the Atlanta wedding message board on the Knot. There were about 10 or 15 of us that were all getting married in a six month window - January to June 2007. One of the ladies was Shelly. She and Tom got married in January 2007. They went with me and Matt to a Bowling For Soup concert the day Daddy went in to the hospital for his heart.
Shelly gave birth to their daughter Ella on March 21, 2009. She is a gorgeous little girl that is a perfect mix of her mom and dad. Shelly had some complications with the pregnancy due to Crohn's disease. But things seemed to be okay, until September. Shelly started having some medical issues. She was in and out of the hospital a few times. She was out for Halloween, her favorite holiday and was able to take Ella to the pumpkin patch for pictures. Shortly after that, she went back into the hospital because she wasn't feeling good. Over the past three weeks there were almost daily updates posted on the ATL baby board. She had good days and bad days. This morning, at 5:30, her heart stopped. They were unable to resuscitate her. She leaves behind her husband of almost three years, Tom and Ella, who will be 8 months old on Saturday.
Her death has rocked our little online community. We are left wondering how this could happen. Our annual ornament exchanged has been canceled. Instead we will be doing some type of fundraiser for Tom and Ella. It's the least we can do.
If you would like to see a little bit of Shelly, Tom, and Ella's life, here's a link to her blog.
Shelly was a wonderful, sweet woman who will be missed.

Confessions of a lazy blogger
Well, I guess it isn't so much laziness as it is not enough time in the day. I am posting this at 6:30 on a Sunday morning. Why? Because Button woke up to be feed at 5am and was awake for a bit. Now, he's asleep in his bouncy seat and I'm wide awake. But usually I don't have enough time to sit and blog. I'm too busy feeding him, cooking meals for the big boys, washing bottles for daycare, catching up on DVR'd TV, doing dishes, and a million other little things that need to get in the week.
It's sad though, because I want to blog. I want to record all of Button's little moments so there will be a record of them. I'll just have to try better, that's all.
